The Art of Emerald for a Winter.

Olivia, a beautiful contemporary with a light winter colour palette. Olivia found it hard to come to terms with the fact that bright vibrant colours can be her best friend, especially when it comes to show-stopping style. After searching for a dress to attend a wedding she began to realise that she needed a little bit of help and that’s when she contacted me. As a stylist who believes colour is magic, I was a perfect choice, understanding her needs completely. We had a chat about how sharp, vivid, clear colours can work best against her naturally fair complexion and frosty blonde hair. Which led us to select for her a must-have-now vibrant hue, emerald-green.

I spotted a couple of dresses on social media but she was hesitant to try them. Over a coffee we had a friendly chat, giving her lots of reasons why she should give this a try. So now with some confidence and extra encouragement, Olivia is ready to step in to the world of winter colour and very soon she discovered the wonderful art of wearing colour, in this instance, emerald green. The dress we have selected is the epitome of contemporary style, with sleek clean lines. It’s bold solid hue speaks for itself while instilling a sense of calmness and grace as it drapes around her body perfectly. When styling this look it’s important that the dress remains the statement.

Olivia’s hair is styled straight and sleek to follow the silhouette of the dress and achieve immaculately polished beauty. We have opted for less-dramatic makeup for this look, focusing on airbrushed skin with a subtle glow, elevating with a sharp winged eye liner that draws attention to the ultra-fluttery lashes. Finishing with a nude lip in her perfect tone. As she is a winter with naturally fair skin which is not her favourite individual feature as the weather starts to warm, a visit to the beautician is needed. A swept on light layer of false-tan will give her skin a beautiful sun-kissed radiance.

The style comes to life as she slips into a pair of strappy nude heels which fade away elongating her leg sensationally. Draping an understated blush shoulder-grazing bag makes the vibrant emerald hue pop. Now at the final but most important stage of styling….. completing the look with beautiful fine jewellery. The solid emerald hue of the dress creates Olivia’s perfect canvas to feature a beautiful pair of statement earrings. The earrings we have chosen will add a touch of romance to Olivia’s style. They are beautifully handcrafted with a delicate scroll design in silver and have exquisite Australian chrysoprase gemstones gently dangling beneath. They will frame Olivia’s face and add a romantic playfulness to her sophisticated style.

After being styled head-to-toe Olivia’s fear of colour and eyes-on-her attention, disappears. Olivia’s radiance and glow when wearing this outfit comes from her confidence in knowing that this green is her best green, suiting her perfectly as a winter.
