I wasn’t quite sure that I was ready to change my personal style. I felt that maybe it would be a waste of time, not only mine but the stylist time as well. Also, I like to be comfortable, so I have always just thought style doesn’t matter to much… until now.

I liked that Clarisse totally understood and accepted the challenge. Clarisse listen to what I thought I wanted and also encouraged me to try some different pieces including a few more fun clothes. Clarisse was always honest and made professional suggestions. It was easy to agree on things and it was fun. It was a special opportunity to look at myself again.

I now realise how important style is for my confidence every day, in the workplace and at home. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I could look great and be comfortable at the same time which I’m thoroughly enjoying. Gifted and savvy Forge Chiffon Owner and Stylist Clarisse Sawtell exquisite personal styling sense had inspired my thought process in realistically understanding what would work when choosing and creating my own. Her keen attention to my style, my wardrobe, and my shopping pattern got me quite inspired and so excited. 

After my experience with Clarisse, I would not have thought from day one the impactful positive daily change it had already brought to my life.

I enquired about Clarisse’s personal styling services as I was at a stage in my life where I was experiencing a great deal of change. I was a young woman transitioning through an exciting time of gaining independence through moving out and preparing myself for my new role as a wife. However, while I was looking forward to this transition I lacked confidence that my wardrobe accurately expressed the woman I have grown to be.

With Clarisse’s expert guidance we discussed in detail my areas of concern and highlighted my individuality to ensure we would create a wardrobe in which I could feel like my best self. Clarisse began filling the gaps in my wardrobe, utilising my existing pieces and introduced me to varying personality styles and opened my eyes to the world of colour! – something that I had always wanted to try, but found very daunting. 

Most importantly throughout the process Clarisse kept me in the conversation. She not only transformed my wardrobe, but she educated me along the way to ensure that I gained confidence in styling my looks and selecting pieces that flattered my figure and complexion. 

From an experience that my expectations assumed would afford me a wonderful new wardrobe, I was able to gain so much more. On the other side of my personal styling journey, I am not only confident in my wardrobe, but I am now confident within myself and this next chapter in my life.

This was truly a transformative experience and I cannot thank Clarisse enough. To say that she is a master of her skill is an understatement, as her ability to style has the power to evoke wonderful emotions through shining the light on and honouring individual uniqueness.

I am quite particular and can procrastinate when it comes to decision making so I was concerned this may cause friction during our garment selections. 

I very much enjoyed our open and informative discussion which gave me insight into how my existing wardrobe can benefit from the addition of some simple basic garments. Our shopping experience was interesting, relaxing and effective. I can’t wait to start playing around with my new adventurous combinations.

Thanks to Forge Chiffon I have a new found confidence in my ability to dress creatively. I no longer feel bored with my every day looks especially for work and in this regard have been pleasantly commended on numerous occasions by my colleagues and clients. What I enjoy in particular is wearing unfamiliar colours mixed in with my existing wardrobe to achieve an adventurous thrilling combination.
